Aromatic Mixes For Relaxation

Hi folks...I've finally been able to find time to dig into the herb boxes so I can conjure a few aromatic healing mixes.

I like to use some of the 'tried & true' sacred herbs...but I also like to combine herbs, oils and resins for the incense pot.

Since Vanessa has been on chemotherapy, I've started a regime of herb & essential oil mixes to help her take the 'edge' off. Reducing her stress, anxiety and pain is the main priority, and I have found that many of the mixes I use for other purposes have been helping her.

The best and simple mix is to cover the bottom of the incense pot with Frankincense resin...about 1 inch in depth. I then take Sweet Basil essential oil and place 10 drops on the Frankincense. Finally I light a charcoal disk, allowing it to ember...then place it directly on top of the mix. This will usually burn for about 30 minutes, leaving a light basil tinge with the Frankincense scent. This is also a formula I use for activating the Ajna (Brow - Third Eye) chakra during meditation.

Another soothing mix is a bit more complex, but offers a deeper degree of relaxation...something that Vanessa needs for healing.

Cover the bottom of the incense pot with Frankincense resin...about 1 inch in depth. Then add the following herbs:

a pinch of Horehound
1/2 teaspoon of Lavender buds
5-6 dried Juniper berries

Mix the Frankincense resin and the herbs. You may also want to add a few drops of your favorite healing oil. I usually add a few drops of Lavender or Sandlewood essential oil. Then I light a charcoal disk, allowing it to ember...then place it directly on top of the mix. This mix will probably release scent for about an hour.

Don't use these mixes unless you plan to relax. You may be surprised by the subtle, but excellent, effect that results. Take care...Lon
